Commitment, all or nothing, 100% in. Call it want you want but that is how Hija Mia Coffee Roasters came to fruition. Commitment to us is throwing in full time jobs, throwing away financial security, packing a container with a La Marzocco and a coffee roaster and sending it halfway around the world to Medellin. Sound risky? Sure, but there are times in one's life when you have to follow your dreams. It should never be about the money, it should be about doing something you believe in and committing.

The cause? Flat white anyone? Tired of listening to baristas murdering the milk in so called high end cafes we decided enough is enough. Living in Australia and New Zealand we are quite literally spoilt for choice as to where to get our caffeine hit. Hija Mia Coffee Roasters is a little slice of of antipodean pie serving up brews just how it should be done. Being a small batch roaster in Colombia and with the help of our Dutch export friends we have the luxury of intercepting small micro lots before they get exported to bring you the very best that this wonderful country has to offer.
